The Board of Deacons has primary oversight over the church's worship and spiritual interests. The board supervises various areas of service support including flowers, ushers, lay readers, bulletins, greeters, candle lighters, paraments, and communion supplies. The board works with its Music Committee to guide the music ministry of the church including the Junior and Senior Choirs. The Deacons are responsible for mentoring the faithful, nurturing spiritual growth in the members, and providing advice to the Congregation on matters of theology.

God is always at your side; leading you, guiding you, filling you with hope. When you hear God speaking to you, his presence will take over your soul and rejuvenate your spirit. Stop and listen as God is always calling out for you.
The Easter Season will soon begin, which brings the annual celebration of Palm Sunday (March 28th). At WACC, we have a festive service which includes the traditional waving of the palms. In addition, the annual Laity Sunday will take place on March 21st. This service will be run entirely by the Deacons. The reflections of the service will focus on why we, as Deacons, have chosen WACC as our church and why we have chosen to serve as Deacons.
